2009 Clinical Exam News

Electronic submission of case report forms will continue for the 2009 clinical exam. Specifically, the Synopsis of Case Reports and the three Measurement Instruments (DI, CE, CMF) will be submitted electronically. In addition, beginning in 2009, these paper forms will not be included in the case report notebook assembly. Optional worksheets for download are provided on this website for your convenience in preparing for the electronic submission of these case report forms. The electronic submission process will be available after October 1; you will receive instructions prior to that time.

Electronic Guidelines for Digital Casts
The ABO will accept digital pretreatment casts and certain digital interim casts in 2009; the ABO is prepared to accept only one file format for digital casts (see details); occlusal registration for digital casts is best achieved by using polyvinylsiloxane (PVS) bite registration material.

Discrepancy Index Scoring System
Example records and scoring for each parameter of the Discrepancy Index is now available in PDF and Powerpoint formats.
