Dr. Jose A. Bosio Elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Orthodontics

Jose A. Bosio, BDS, MS, ABO-Board Certified, of Baltimore, Maryland, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). The election took place during the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) House of Delegates meeting in conjunction with the 2026 AAO Annual Session May 1-3 in Orlando, Florida.
Dr. Bosio has a 39-year career in orthodontics and currently serves as Alumni & Friends Endowed Clinical Associate Professor, Division Chief Orthodontic & Postgraduate Program Director at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, positions held since 2017. Since 2023 he has served as a guest lecturer at MedStar Hospital/Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He was previously Associate Professor Clinical Scholar at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (2014-2017) and Assistant Professor of Orthodontics and Post-graduate Clinic Director at Marquette University School of Dentistry (2008-2014).
Dr. Bosio has been an Examiner for the ABO since 2010 and an Item Writer for the Scenario-based Clinical Examination since 2016. He is also a published author and international lecturer. Dr. Bosio, representing the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (MASO), will serve the ABO Board of Directors for an eight-year term, which culminates in the position of President of the ABO in the 2033-2034 year.
