Ownership of the Information in this Website
The ABO holds the copyright to the data and information contained in this website unless otherwise indicated. Copyright infringement is a violation of federal law, and subject to criminal and civil penalties. No data or information from this website may be reproduced in any form without the express written consent of the ABO.
Use of the Orthodontist Locator
The ABO has established an Orthodontist Locator, which is a searchable database of Board-Certified Orthodontists. Only those orthodontists who have completed Board Certification with the ABO are eligible to be listed in the Orthodontist Locator. However, the ABO does not recommend or endorse any of the Board-Certified Orthodontists listed in the Orthodontist Locator, or the services they provide. It is up to every patient, in consultation with the orthodontist of their choice, to determine what orthodontic treatment is right for them.
The Orthodontist Locator includes information provided by Board Certified Orthodontists. Although the ABO makes reasonable efforts to keep the contact information contained in the Orthodontist Locator up to date, the ABO cannot guarantee that the information available through the Orthodontist Locator is complete and accurate.
The Orthodontist Locator does not list orthodontists by treatment methods. If you are looking for a qualified ABO Board Certified Orthodontist, we recommend that you contact one or more orthodontists listed through our Orthodontist Locator to discuss your orthodontic needs.
Information obtained through the Orthodontist Locator may NOT be used for any commercial purpose. For example, information from the Orthodontist Locator may not be used to create a mailing list or other collection of orthodontists’ contact information.
Information from the Orthodontist Locator likewise may not be used to contact a listed Board Certified Orthodontist for any purpose other than in connection with orthodontic treatment.
Information from the Orthodontist Locator may not be:
- Sold;
- Transferred in exchange for anything of value;
- Republished, in whole or in any part; or
- Used to create independent data files or compendiums of statistical information.
